Kimono care
⚠Kimonos cannot be washed in a washing machine.
1. Take off your clothes on a rug
Before taking off your kimono, wash your hands and lay a mat on the floor and take it off on. Use kimono paper or a clean mat.
2. Hang it on a hanger
After taking off the kimono, open the collar and hang the kimono and undergarment on separate hangers to remove moisture and wrinkles. Hang them in a well-ventilated, shady place for a few hours to half a day.
3. Check for stains and dirt
While hanging the garment, check for any dirt.
Even the smallest stains can become surprisingly noticeable later on, so be careful.
We recommend that you have any stains or dirt removed by a professional as soon as possible.
4. Dust off before storing
If there are no stains or other issues, fold it and wrap it in tissue paper and store it until the next time you wear it.
Once the moisture has evaporated from the kimono, gently pat the shoulders, sleeves, and hem with a soft cloth such as a dry towel or a brush to remove any dust. Be careful not to rub the kimono.

Regarding handling of kimono
Q: How should I store the product after purchase?
Kimono colors will fade if exposed to ultraviolet rays, so avoid direct sunlight and store them flat to prevent wrinkles.
Q: Is there anything I should be careful of before storing it?
After wearing, hang the garment to dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area for half a day to overnight to ensure all moisture is removed.
*If you hang it for too long, the fabric may stretch, so please leave it hanging for about half a day to remove the moisture.
After that, check to see if there are any stains or dirt before storing it away.
We recommend that you pay particular attention to checking around the collar, cuffs, and hems, as these are areas where foundation stains, sweat stains, and mud splashes tend to accumulate.
If you find any stains or dirt, please contact a professional who can deal with the problem as soon as possible.
If possible, mark the area (ideally with a thread mark).
